American Indian Summer Institute

Description

The American Indian Summer Institute is a free residential summer program for Native American students currently in 8th-11th grades. Participants will stay at the campus dormitories to experience university life while interacting with professors, admissions staff, college students and invited American Indian community members. The program will further enhance their knowledge of the university admissions process and participants will craft a competitive application. Students who complete the program will receive follow up mentorship and free SAT/AP preparation materials. An opportunity will be provided to receive UCLA Course Credit.

Eligibility

» Demonstrated commitment to Native community
» Plan to enroll in an institution of higher education
» Be a currently enrolled 8th-11th grade student
» Have a competitive overall GPA
